About CPL

We are pleased to introduce the Centre for Practicing Law, an institution established in 2015 with the vision of promoting continued legal education and fostering professional growth within the legal fraternity. At the core of our mission lies a commitment to an interdisciplinary approach to legal learning, recognizing that comprehensive understanding and effective practice of law demand continual engagement with evolving legal, social, and policy landscapes.

The Centre strives to be a collaborative platform that not only facilitates ongoing legal education but also offers specialized training to practicing advocates across India. In furtherance of these objectives, we regularly organize workshops, seminars, and conferences designed to address emerging challenges and skill gaps within the legal profession.

Message from the Founder

At the Centre for Learning and Practicing Law (CLPL), we believe that continuous learning is the cornerstone of professional excellence in the legal field. In today’s rapidly evolving socio-economic and legal landscape, lawyers must stay attuned to both domestic and global developments to effectively serve society.

While law school lays the foundation and follows a more pedantic approach, the practical skills required such as legal drafting, research, and courtroom advocacy can only be honed through real world exposure and guided learning. Unfortunately, many new entrants to the profession face this transition without sufficient mentorship or structured training, resulting in disillusionment and a desire to switch careers.

CLPL was founded to bridge this gap. Our mission is to equip legal professionals with the skills, insights, and practical knowledge essential for effective practice across diverse legal domains. Through specialized courses, workshops, and interdisciplinary programs, we aim to create a collaborative space for continuous legal education that is accessible, relevant, and impactful.

Let us empower the next generation of lawyers, stronger, smarter, and more prepared to uphold the rule of law in service of justice.
